Community Banner Program
History
In 1984 with the event of Super Bowl XVIII, the Merchants Association pioneered the creation of the Street Pole Banner Program in Tampa. The NFL banner program is now considered an important element for all cities chosen to host Super Bowls.
In the year 2000 over 800 light poles in Hillsborough County were equipped for Street Banners for Super Bowl XXXV.
